Somewhere, sanity is lossed between the first brush stroke and the completion of the next painting. I love art... pretty much everything visual. And when all is said and done, I'm either on stage with my band One Degree Difference, or on my harley.

I thought it was fitting and thought I'd share some artwork (ink) that is well, quite close and personal to me, and where better, here on INK! :-) Friend and tattoo artist Justin Sims of Freaks on Broadway has been working with me for a while now and is in the process of finishing outlines on my second sleeve, then its on to some color and shading, god I can't wait!!

Lets back this story up a bit, because I'm sure the first question is something to the tune of what is it or what does it mean. In '95 I graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute and while there was heavily influenced by one of my History teachers and developed a great love for egyptian art history. Ever since, I have been fascinated with the culture, art and architecture of this ancient civilization. Fast forward................... after getting a few tattoos here and there, it only became fitting that the theme of the rest of my body art would turn to the art of egypt.

Tattoos are so addictive, well piercing's might be too, but 9 hoops and a libre later, i think I'm done with that one ;-) Currently I have Anubis, Osiris, Basset, The Sphinx, the Eye of Ra, the egyptian royal cobra (upper egypt), the egyptian vulture (lower egypt), a winged scarab and a 4 cartouches with hieroglyphics. My left arm sleeve will be finished up with a profile image of Isis. Call me crazy, but I love my tattoos. Perhaps I will later on post a followup with some progress :-) Now... to make that appointment for the next session.

All i can say is wow... grinning ear to ear, unable to stop, the bike came out this weekend after a long winter's slumber. Unfinished upgrades were tidied up and new oil and fluids added... a twist of the wrist, a push of a button and then... purrr she did. The deepest lope and rumble to be heard blocks away; the sleeping dragon had been awoken. Friday was the maiden voyage of this 2008 season as i rolled out to the Riot Room for live music and a couple drinks with friends. Front row parking, smack dab in front of the door, you couldn't miss my marbled ghost flames and pointed spikes daring passer-bys to get to close.... she bites and leaves marks. I even got bit while making the final fine tunes to the idle cable, ouch!!

Saturday came and knuckleheads convened on the first ride together since Sturgis, this past August. 120ish miles were rounded with out a flinch. Where better to wind up, but Fugglies! The best East Lynn has to offer in an old presbyterian church package.... where beer flows and occasionally horse drawn buggies arrive to partake, Miller Lite all the way around, with a side of cheese fries.

By time the sun had set, my arms were still simmering with a sun painted pink tint that was a little more then medium well, but it was glorious... for bike season is officially upon us!!!!

WORD!!!!
