Look out Chiefs fans ... the Patriots leading man is a killing machine. (He'll also steal your girlfriend and knock-up your sister. Dude is evil.)

Boldly predicting, prognosticating and pontificating on all things football

What was it that wise sage Hank Williams Jr. once said?

Are you ready for some football?

... You never go full, um, well, it rhymes with smetard.

First, he's got this movie opening tomorrow, "Bangkok Dangerous." Which, well, that would be bad enough.

Better music. More sex appeal. Golly, the GOP has got it going on.

Update: A guide to Palin-guage ahead of her super important speech tonight.

The Republicans Are Bringing Sexy (and cool) Back?

In case you weren't glued to CSPAN last night during the Republican National Convention you may have missed something very interesting: The Republicans picked good music. ...

Sad news today: The guy who's voice you will know once you hear it has died. Also, the guy that wrote "East Bound and Down," the theme from Smoky and the Bandit died as well.

Don LaFontaine, who is best known as the guy that said "...in a world" in front of nearly every single trailer ever.

Jerry Reed was a fabulous musician and a good actor.

Just think it out.

It's for John McCain's new VP, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Because, well, she's a chick. And she's good looking.

Updated! Remember the movie "Sleep With Me?" Yeah, neither did I.

I did however remember one scene (and thanks to the site GeekTyrant for reminding me) from that movie that had Quentin Tarantino in it. He gives a monologue (one that I believe whole-heartedly to be true because I tried to convince my college friends to watch it again for this reason) about how Top Gun is the most subversive movie ever. Why? Because it's a movie about a guy wrestling with his burgeoning homosexuality. And the masses bought it as a straight "guy" movie.

The reason it's the greatest script? It was so well done, almost no one noticed it. (Though the beach volleyball scene with the song "Playing With the Boys" shoulda been a tip-off.)

Calling all Mystery Science Theater 3000 fans ... here's your chance to be heard.

Afternoon update: Just a quick link to an opportunity I think I'm going to have a hard time passing up. Michael Nelson and the folks at RiffTrax are offering you and me and your crack-addict cousin Timmy the chance to do your own MST3K-style riff. It's called iRiffs. Read more about it here.

And now, picking up where we left off this morning: Why I don't find Kim Kardashian appealing what so ever...

5 Things You May Not Have Known Before Reading This...

1. "Babylon A.D." is going to be a monumental disaster — and oddly appropriately, it opens against the destined-to-suck spoof "Disaster Movie" — and it's not just the press and people who have seen the trailer. It's also the director, Mathieu Kassovitz. He says the film resembles a bad episode of 24. That's not good. Here's a the story. Here's a sample quote.

“I never had a chance to do one scene the way it was written or the way I wanted it to be. The script wasn't respected. Bad producers, bad partners, it was a terrible experience.”

Best rumor ever: Christopher Nolan wants Cher for 'Batman 3.'

Despite the relative, um, lack of a script, the INTERNETz have run wild with speculation about who the next Bat-villain might be and who might play them.

And the rumors have been awesome.

Weekend blog-attack:Attacking Olympians, American supremacy and "Choke" and "Transporter 3" videos.

First up is the story of Angel Matos. He's a Cuban Olympian who fought in the bronze-medal match of tae kwon-do. He lost. Well, he lost because he took too long to get back up after he injured his foot.

He was incensed. So incensed, that he sucker-kicked the referee who disqualified himself.
