  • Reader panel: 'To Kill a Mockingbird'

Classic novels are my favorite thing to read so the list of the ones I enjoy is a long one.  But, my absolute favorite is "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck.  It is a great novel but, more importantly it helped me keep my sanity when I was living in Germany.  I didn't know anyone and I couldn't speak German (yet) and this was the book I was reading when I first got there.  "Take things one day at a time" really helped me make it through that year.

  • Reader panel: Do you text while driving?

No I do not text and drive.  I don't even talk on the phone.  I am from NY where it has been illegal to talk and drive for close to 10 years.  I really think it should be illegal everywhere.  Whether you have actually caused harm by doing so yet is really just a matter of time.  As far as only making it illegal for younger drivers, that is just silly.  If it is going ot be illegal it should be across the board it is just as distracting whether you are 16, 36, or 76.

  • Reader Panel: Cell phone monitoring

If the phone is provided by the company, and the company states that they can and will be monitoring its use then employees should know better than to use them for personal calls and emails.  If your kids need to get ahold of you or you need to call your wife and let her know you will be home late that is one thing.  Anything beyond that just use your own phone.  Lets be adult about things like this!

  • e-readers vs paper: How do you like to read?

The old-fashioned way - on paper.

Nothing compares to the feel of a real paper book in my hands. Also I write in almost every book I read, and that is a little difficult to do in the electronic versions.

  • Are you getting an H1N1 vaccine?

Nope. I am still convinced that H1N1 is a joke. It's just the flu!

I know a couple people that have had it. Yes, they were sick, but no different than actual flu symptoms.

  • What do you think of Tiger Woods' recent marital issues?

If you make your money as a public person, you should expect scrutiny when you screw up.

Everyone gets hassled when they screw up. it is just on a bigger scale if you are famous.

  • How much are you spending on holiday gifts?

Less than $100. My low spending really has nothing to do with the economy ...I'm crafty and I think homemade gifts show more heart!

  • As a leader, I think Sarah Palin is ...

    ... a joke.

Way too conservative, anti-women's rights, anti-animal rights - not to mention basically stupid!

  • Would you give up meat to help the planet?

I'd be willing to eat less meat. But I'd like to see people actually giving up their SUVs.

I'm willing to do a lot to help the earth, but I'd like to see more people give up or change just a little.

  • Should Larry Johnson have been suspended?

Yes. It was appropriate given what he said.

With a team that loses as often as the Chiefs, all they have to hold onto is their image.

If he is making remarks about his team members and making gay slurs, he should be suspended.
