  • Reader panel: A mosque near Ground Zero

Whenever someone has such a strong opposition, I always am curious if they have an alternative solution. Although these protesters may feel like they're taking a stand on their beliefs, it would be nice to know what positive suggestions, if any, they have to balance it out.

  • Reader panel: 'To Kill a Mockingbird'

"On The Road" by Jack Kerouac. Sometimes I feel like I was really meant to live during the Beat generation to be a friend of Jack Kerouac's or at the very least, a scorned lover. I partly blame this book for my restless spirit.

  • Reader panel: Do you text while driving?

I don't normally anymore unless I'm at a stoplight. I do read them though...and sometimes scroll through emails. Bad, I know. I'm doing better.

  • Reader panel: U.S. in Afghanistan

Of course I wish I had or someone could provide a strategy that had a certainty of being successful. But there are conditions that sometimes can't be forseen. It's nice to think 'if this, then we'll do that' but the ifs are constantly changing. My only thoughts on the war is that I support those that have been deployed. I pray for their safety and hope they can return home to their loved ones soon.

  • e-readers vs paper: How do you like to read?

The old-fashioned way - on paper.

I still get excited receiving books as gifts. My friends make fun of me for reading the book before the movie. And everywhere I've ever moved it's just been me taking my clothes and books. Both seem that necessary to me.

  • What do you think of Tiger Woods' recent marital issues?

Right or wrong, I have to admit: I love the spectacle and want more.

It's entertaining, at least for a little bit.

Sure, it's none of my business and I don't know him so I can't judge blah, blah, blah but it's fun to speculate.

I am the girl that buys Us Weekly and has People.com as one of my computer favorites. And by the mass media attention, apparently I'm not the only one.

  • How much are you spending on holiday gifts?

More than $100. I love Christmas and I love picking out gifts for people!

  • Should KU fire Mark Mangino?

Maybe. Depends on the outcome of the athletic department's investigation.

Who really knows what's going on with the investigation except the people involved?

To think that a 'poke to the chest' would whirlwind into what it has is unbelievable. As in, I don't believe it.

Even Jason Whitlock is coming up with empty answers with his 'weight problem' theory, but hidden in his article I see he's right on one thing: it's gonna be one hell of a time trying to recruit.

Maybe the question shouldn't be if Mangino should be fired. Maybe it's, how are they going to all move forward if he's not?

  • As a leader, I think Sarah Palin is ...

    ... a joke.

It's just tough to look at her in a serious, lead-our-country kind of way when every time I see her, I have to tell myself, it's not Tina Fey.

  • Would you give up meat to help the planet?

    Sure, I would ...hypothetically speaking.

If it came down to me and my meat-eating habits, then yes, I'd give it up.

But even if everyone gave up eating meat, these theorists would continue to discover other ways the Earth is being destroyed.

Yes, one person can make a difference. Just not in this case.
