  • e-readers vs paper: How do you like to read?

    On paper and electronically.

In addition to enjoying my Kindle app and audible.com, I still get three papers a day on paper, which I'm sure takes up some valuable trees, but I am comforted in the knowledge that there are thousands of hippies in Lawrence planting and growing new ones to overcome my selfishness.

  • What do you think of Tiger Woods' recent marital issues?

If you make your money as a public person, you should expect scrutiny when you screw up.

Duh! If you are willing to take the cash, then be willing to deal with the trash.

Nobody is confused before they go into the "celebrity" business.

This is the deal -- we like you for awhile, then we get sick of you and root for your humiliating decline, just so we can rehab you and pick you back up and feel like better people for our innate ability to forgive and extend Christian charity to those under the spell of a Godless, left-wing media.

Your job is to then write a book exploiting the pain you caused others while you walk straight to the bank with a giant check because we, as a society, are dumb and are willing pay for anything, even in the midst of a recession and from a B-list celebrity with no discernible skills of communication. Then it starts all over again. It's actually quite a beautiful cycle if you think about it.

  • How much are you spending on holiday gifts?

    More than $100.

I'm spending my stimulus money. Thanks Obama. It's Crap for Clunkers. Keeping this country rolling.

As a true patriot, I will be doubling my spending on items we import from China because I just want to do my part...

  • Should KU fire Mark Mangino?

No. His coaching methods are intense, but nothing worth getting fired over.

I love Jason, and I do think Mangino's weight plays a role in his being a complete a**hole, but being an a**hole is not a good enough reason to fire the 2007 national coach of the year.

This isn't K-State where we drag an old-timer out of the grave every time our program starts to suck.

And we're definitely not Missouri where we steal from the MAC because we can't win in any sport.

No, this is KU, the gem of the midwest.

Our coach needs to be tough, our players need to get used to it, and winning at all cost still means winning.

We don't accept sucking like K-State or MU do. We expect the Orange Bowl or the the NCAA Basketball National Championship every year.

If he needs to poke a player, grab their facemask or call out their hoodlum family, do it coach.

If you win, we will love you. If you lose, we will pretend we don't know you. In the world of Obama "hope and change," it's nice to know the Fat Man still has his guard up.

  • As a leader, I think Sarah Palin is ...

    ... a joke.

She represents everything bad about the Republican Party, and makes it more difficult for true spokespeople like myself - visionaries, nay prophets, actually, with an eye toward a future of staying out of people's lives and wallets simultaneously - to cut through the clutter.

She has those same "charming" Obama-esque qualities that make her equally as reprehensible to me - a tenuous grasp of the issues (at best), an abounding hypocrisy to do as I say, not as I do, and the irritating need to hear their own voice ad nauseam although there is nothing of substance coming out.

In fact, they would be an ideal ticket. Maybe if they each keep boycotting news organizations, soon we will never have to hear from them again.

  • Should Larry Johnson have been suspended?

    They should've fired him.

If this was the first time this past-his-prime moron had spouted off at the mouth, I would still fire him.

Certain things are unacceptable under any circumstances.

Using gay slurs is no more acceptable than using racial slurs, and both require strong, swift action.

You do not use those words accidentally or unknowingly, especially several times.

The Chiefs are a private club and can do what they want. They need to remember, however, that because of their unique position in the public eye, the actions they don't take are just as loud as those they do.

They reflect our community at large. If they play him again, it tells the world that his behavior was only marginally unacceptable in our city.

That is false. It was very wrong, and the Chiefs and the NFL should make that message clear.

  • How have you made sacrifices at work?

    My company's eliminated raises.

It's my company so I come at this from a different perspective.

I don't think anyone is entitled to a job. Earn it or make your own.

Saying "workers are making sacrifices" -- garbage. Work harder. Get a second job. Yes, burger flippers are still in demand.

No one told you that you would always get a raise. No one told you it was always going to be fun and fulfilling. Stop whining and go make it happen.

I was laid off twice, thought it sucked, so I did something about it.

Find a couple of friends, get a plan together and create your own job. Beats working for other people.

  • Does Obama deserve the Nobel Peace Prize?

    No. What an embarrassment!

It says even more about the stupidity of the Nobel Prize than it does about the ineffectiveness of Obama.

The Nobel Prize has been reduced to the level of a People's Choice Award - it's like he won for Best International Screen Kiss. Congratulations.

  • Rio or Chicago? Who should have the Olympics?

Rio. Great to see Obama lose again, and to see the rest of the world finally awakening to what a joke he is. Chicagoans (as well as all Americans, as the tab would clearly have required another stimulus package) should be thanking their lucky stars they are now able to duck the horrendous debt that accompanies these games.

  • What kind of reality TV show would you be on?

    Documentary style.

The show is called “Be With OC” (on VH1 naturally) and involves some of the most beautiful women from trailer parks and strip clubs throughout the country. We go on dates and they all have real feelings for me after the first 13 minutes of air time. They fight because some of the girls there are fake and don't really love me for me, but in the end, only one can be with the OC. It comes down to Ample Sample (a genetically blessed stripper from Texas) and Lite Brite, who has freaky bad dyed hair and who I have “a real connection” with. Of course I have to get my parents involved at the end because my mom will want to know that the winner is a nice Irish Catholic girl. The show comes down to the final ceremony, which we hold on the McCoys patio just because I like it there. Instead of getting a rose at the ceremony, the winner gets a gold-plated whiskey bottle and we share a toast to love. Because we share a glass, I immediately come down with a wicked infection. Sadly, our love does not last, but I join the Stallionaires on our new show “OC’s Real Chance at Love.” And my wife is cool with the whole thing.
