I had to choose between Rock Fest and Wakarusa and after a week's worth of commuting on $4 gas, I decided to stay in Lawrence. I don't regret the decision, it was a lot of fun, even if Sound Tribe Sector Nine effectively kicked me out of the press tent because the lights from the tent were spoiling their atmosphere (I didn't realize it took so much artistic resolve to effectively turn the campgrounds into a laser tag arena).
But now we're getting photos and video back from Rock Fest and I'd like to know what I missed. Jenn told me there were way more "accidental" nip-slips, which is always a crowd pleaser, but what else? Did Stone Temple Pilots kick ass? What about this Ashes divide band the kids are talking about these days, is there anything to them?
Let me know. In the meantime I'll be watching this sweet video of a Rock Fest patron resisting arrest and getting choked out for his efforts.
