This is the FIRST TIME I have ever in my 50 years known Congress to vote the will of the American "People." Unprecidented!!! They didn't swing the vote for their corporate buddies. I hope the banks go down, and go down HARD...as well as the crooks who are running them.Smile Because of course the banks are going to try to blame all this on the everyday average American and take it out on them, when all along THEY are the ones who have been sucking the financial life out of the economy and stuffing it into their own private pockets. "What comes around..." Time to arrest some corporate crooks, I think.

PS: Congress...DON'T listen to the President! Stay the hell out of it and let it run it's course. Government has a BAD habit of meddling in affairs it shouldn't be in, and trying to manipulate the future. Leave it the hell alone! Just stand by and be ready to arrest the con artists who brought this down on us in the first place.

One more thing. Recession or Depression is a VIABLE necessity for stabilizing an economy. It HAS TO HAPPEN from time to time to reset a history of enormous credit and unstable loan practices that accumulate over years of advanced spending. Let's face it NOW. We're overdue for it. Otherwise, it will only get worse and continued to be covered up.

I think you should stick to giving relationship advice Paulie...who wants to go through another recession/depression???

Congress needs to pass this thing now, it's the responsible thing to do.

Absolutely NOT! It would be total irresponsibility to shove this condition of our country's financial state under the rug with another bailout and on top of that make the taxpayers burden the costs. There are people at high levels doing a huge con job on the American People. Burying one's head in the sand is not the action you take to see that isn't repeated.

and you think those people at "high levels" will be the ones suffering or paying any cost at all during another depression?
I dont think so.

On that note,Im against the Gov. bailout too. But it not just this one, im against all of them!

Believe me I loath the excess on Wall Street as much as the next guy, but the truth of the matter is that we NEED those guys to make a lot of money. If they can't survive we are all doomed. The same thing happened in 1929. Check ya history.

You may not feel it now, but if Congress doesn't do something we are all in a world of hurt. You can take that to the bank.
