Yesterday Edwin Hall pleaded guilty to kidnapping, raping, sodomizing and then strangling Kelsey Smith with her own belt.

By making a plea agreement, he avoided the death penalty.

Do you think his case should have gone to trial and tried for the death penalty, or do you think the plea-bargaining was the way to go - even it means life in prison?

If by "death penalty" you mean being covered in banana oil then locked in a room with a 12-foot-tall invisible gorilla, then yes.

But he's the next homecoming queen of whatever prison facility they send him to. So a lifetime of "torture by scary dudes" is also fine by me.

To phrase it in a less confusing manner, this guy will one way or another get what he deserves.
