No comment. OK, that's a lie. Comment: Shame on Amazon.com for selling this T-shirt on its Web site.

And anyone who would date a guy wearing this will probably end up on Dr. Laura.

I hear what your saying, but really... Are you "not" hearing what many of the men are saying? It sooo is a fine line between getting a girl wasted (or waiting for a girl to get wasted) and taking them home and effen her socks off, and date-rape. I for the life of me don't know why so many women put up with it...except for the obvious of piss poor low self esteem, oh and the invaluable "I just wanna be popular." Amazon wouldn't be sellin it without a viable market for it. FYI - I think the whole senerio is sad.

Umm...that's creepy. It's not a fine line at all. When a woman gets drunk, it's because she's making the CHOICE to get drunk by downing beer or shots. When a guy date-rapes a girl, he drugs her drink and then has his way with her *helpless* body.

I agree that it's her choice to get drunk, but I think it is "rape" if she's so wasted she doesn't know where she is and the guy has sex with her. If she is just "lying there" then she's not really consented either.

I know women personally who do the "black out drinking" thing...on somewhat of a regualar basis. You know, the can't remember anything from midnight to moring thing? Screwing these women is date-rape in my book. But I've yet to hear a single one of them even complain about it. They just look at it as their own fault for putting themselves in that situation. Some of them even befriend these men. Think

I can't tell which is the worst, most sickening part about this: the fact that it's an actual shirt someone thought of, the fact that Amazon is carrying it, or the fact that some people actually will think this is funny. It's all three.

I agree with Cherryh and Sarah; yes, it may be her choice to get drunk, but if you know anything about alcohol and its' effects on the brain, then you know that it changes your normal behaviors, especially MEMORY and JUDGEMENT. So even if a girl consents under the influence, that doesn't mean men should go ahead. There's no fine line. Use your brain, not your... ya know.

Ok...wait, whoaaa. I hope I'm not hearing you say a girl can do "whatever" she wants to do with "I'll purposely get myself all f-ed up" in public and relieve herself of all responsibility...and if she chooses to go home with a friend/stranger...and tell him "yes" to whatever, it's not her fault, and he is totally to blame. NOT. I would gather that in many/most cases the guy is just as gone as the girl, and so is his judgement. But even if not, I know many many women who are "horney" drunks, and do so to get their groove on. So if a girl and guy are consentual, no one can be held at fault. Nice try.Shame on you

lol i honestly don't even know how to reply to that.. because nothing you said even touched on what i said. so "nice try."

First, I never said anything about a girl being able to do whatever she wanted.
Second, when I'm talking about the girl's judgement, I'm referring back to the shirt which more than implies that the man's judgement is very clear... It was my fault for not expanding on that.
Third, I never blamed anyone. I said that doesn't mean the man should go ahead. What I mean by that is, just because a woman says yes, doesn't mean men HAVE to do it...

Bottom line is it's a detestable t-shirt. Should it pulled... no. Should society let it be acceptable if worn... no. Freedom of speech is a grey area.

It's not grey to me at all. Anyone who wants to wear this shirt has the right to wear it. It's 100% covered by the 1st amendment. Just as the weirdo in the Dillard's ad has the right to wear that shirt -- which is offensive in its own right.

They also have the right to be looked on as a creep and loser. They also have the right to be refused service at a private business. They also have the right to be told by Kauffman stadium security that they have to turn it inside out or leave.

And before anyone gives me the "yell fire in a theatre" argument that invariable makes its way into 1st amendment debates, there's no immediate threat or possibility of bodily harm being done by the t-shirt.
