The transgendered man who got pregnant was on Oprah yesterday. Thomas Beattie of Oregon had chest construction surgery, testosterone therapy and is now legally male and married to a woman. He chose not to get sterilized, and now he's pregnant. Fascinating.

I watched it last night. My only question is how is "she" legally a "he".

Last time I checked there was an identifying thing that fundamentally cannot be altered. Men have an XY chromosome, women don't.

Since he was born a she...there is no way to change this fact. So how can the court claim that she is legally a man? Just because of some genetal surgery?

What about those that have surgery to make themselves into a lizard?
