So I ran out of cat food the other morning and couldn't go to the store - I had to go to work because we were printing Ink. Unfortunately I had four hungry cats staring at me.

I started going through the pantry, looking for something to give them until I could get back with real cat food.

Big problem: There was barely any food in the house. I hadn't been feeding myself anything from home because I'd been living on Coffee Girls and getting home from work after 2 a.m.

I settled on using my microplane grater to shave them off some parmesan cheese, which they seemed to like after giving me the "WTF? Where's our cat food" look.

What do you feed your pets when you run out of their food?

I've also done deli meat, canned tuna and chicken for them before, but didn't have any of that this time...

Sorry kitties!

This is pretty creepy, but one time I actually cooked my cat a meal.

One slice of ham -- fried and shredded into kitty-sized bits -- topped with melted Velveeta and a dusting of Pringles crumbs. (Grayee loved Pringles)

The little guy was in heaven.

Sadly, he died the next week of old age (he was 17). I was trying to get him to eat because his appetite was waning Sad It worked.

try giving your cats some aaa batteries. They wont eat em but they roll that shit around all day until they get wedged under the couch.
