As in, are you buying more local food?
Recently I've heard reports that rising food prices (one result of rising transportation costs) are causing some grocery store shoppers to drop the processed, far-away made, expensive stuff (think Cheez-its or Oreos) in favor of locally grown produce (think tomatoes and sweet corn). I guess that's the upside of high gas prices.
I, for one, am trying to shop local more often. Goodbye Hy-Vee, hello Lawrence Farmers' Market... Anyone else changing their ways?
