For those w/o a neighborhood swimmin' hole, where do you go to swim? Or lay out? And which pools can you order drinks at?

The only swim-up bar in town I know of is at Oceans of Fun.

The only pool worth laying by is OOFApplause It has a constant change of people with a few dozen regulars mixed in...it has security who will "handle" anyone getting out of control...2 volleyball courts right next to it...and the rest of a waterpark or WOF if you're so inclined. ALL for a gold pass membership that includes parking to either place for $122 tax included for a YEAR.
I "ban" non-smoking facilities!

Here ya go...The Prairie Village Pool is one of Johnson County's premier aquatics facilities.
Located at: 7711 Delmar

- Its primarily for family fun. But I've seen all age ranges there. Its a non-booze thing though. Unless you wanna try sneaking something in.

i won't shut up about the prairie village pool, one of the coolest places in town. period. they've got an adult pool, a lane pool and THEN they do adult swim every hour so you don't have to put up with the lil whippersnappers to get a shot at the waterslides. now come one, who needs booze when you've got waterslides?

I don't like the Lawrence pool at 7th and Vermont -- too crowded, not enough chairs, kid central.

everyone needs to come to the INK/ Woodside poolside party on June 28th at 8. I got the pool tour the other day and it's amazing! Woodside itself is a great place to work out and take classes, but the pool really sells it.

Plus, having drinks is more than okayVery Happy

Everyone in Westport seems to make City Place's pool their pool. Last year they started cracking down on non-residents, and even residents bringing more than 2 people at a time, but I'm not sure how it's going to work out this year. I'm moving out this month anyways, but it's worth checking out on Saturdays, there used to be DJs that would set up.
