Last night I went to the Bottleneck to see the sold-out Tim and Eric Awesome Tour 2008.

It was awesome. Great job!

For those who don't know, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are two comedians who star in the Tim and Eric Awesome Show (Great Job!) on Adult Swim Sunday nights at 11:45 CST.

It's a truly bizarre show. And I love every minute of it.

The show last night was the most fun I've had at the Bottleneck since...well, ever. I missed the first 10 or 15 minutes, but when I finally got in, there was a Dr. Steve Brule sketch (played by John C. Reilly) projected behind the stage.

The crowd was treated to several sketches from the show's third season, and inbetween the sketches, Tim and Eric performed as a) Casey and his brother, b) a cheesy karate expert and his sidekick, and c) themselves.

At one point, Tim fake-barfed on the audience (thankfully I wasn't in range) and at another, Eric threw a trayful of hotdogs, which people grabbed at like they were free t-shirts. He was dressed as a hamburger when he did this, by the way.

Describing what went on makes it all sound so...juvenile. But seriously, sometimes I think their humor is so juvenile it goes past that and becomes...sophisticated? Genius, even?

i don't think i've ever been so mad at myself for missing something in my life. i had no idea it was going on! i need a moment or two...
Joe, I felt the same way when I missed the first 15 minutes!
