Lately, I've been dreaming about cheap beer and fancy wine flights.

About foosball tables, pinball machines and dart boards.

We're working full-throttle on our bar guide -- which comes out Wednesday -- and that means I'm spending all my time calling bar after bar. Basically any spot that sells swill within a 50-mile radius of KC.

So basically, I've been talking booze for four days straight. That can make a person really, really thirsty.

Here's what I'm craving, just as soon as our issue travels from our desks to your hands:

Bob's 47: All this chilly weather has me craving Boulevard's Oktoberfest brew, which I've never actually tried. Fall seasonal brews are generally richer in flavor than summer ones. Lately I've been into Sam Adams Oktoberfest, which has notes of caramel. I've seen two places with Bob's 47 on tap: 810 Zone on the Plaza and Pachamama's in Lawrence.

$10 wine flights: Teller's, a fancy Italian restaurant in Lawrence, has a huge selection of vino from Italia. Usually, it's pretty pricey. Unless you go on Wednesdays, when wine's a steal.

Zulu's in Olathe: This African bar has a Reggaeton night and is big on soccer games. Plus, our frink LB has been known to lay down some rhymes there, too.

Cheap-ass beer: the ink team also found some cheap-ass beer. At a bar in the Northland, you can get draws for 50 cents each. I predict this place will become the most popular hangout in town, assuming the current trend in the economy continues.

Oh yeah. The N-land has tons of cheapy drink spots. We can hit them up, and then you can crash at my house
Oh, and another thing -- The Replay Lounge in Lawrence was pretty much the only bar I called that had a pinball machine. Anyone know other bars with pinball machines? Why don't bars have them anymore?
The Replay doesn't have just "ah" pinball machine there are six. And I ain't talkin' no crummy Galahad either! By the way, If anyone knows where I can get a good game of Golden Axe in let me know.
Golden Axe? Try Gobbler's Mountain resort on Tablerock lake.
