First Friday brought out all kinds of artists and entertainers to the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City, on August 7, 2009. Christian Robinson, 31, and Cindy Paasch, 24, both of Kansas City, Mo., set up Pop Cards near 18th and Baltimore. The two make improvised cards with Paasch's poetry and Robinson's illustrations. Original cards sell for $10 and take about half an hour to create.
