What's the best music to start a little romance? Depends on who you ask. But this is Kansas City. I say stay true to our roots and put on some jazz.
Soft, slow, sexy songs to dance to. In your own apartment even. Sounds dorky, but it's romantic.
Tonight it's Friday. The night my friend DJ Miles plays soul, jazz and R&B records at Spitfire Grill on 39th Street. He's calls it "The Sauce," and there's mood lighting, no cover, and of course, sexy songs. I suggest if you ever need somewhere chill to go after a Friday night date, stop by.
And if you're not dating and you just want to hear some good music and have a smooth glass of wine, go. I've never been there with a date before -- only friends -- and it's still awesome. Just don't let the love songs bring you down.
