One hour inside Vintage Market isn’t enough.

With so much to discover in this Zona Rosa boutique, it’s impossible to see everything on your first look.

Or third.

Owner Kim Dye calls her sweet-and-shabby spot “an eclectic mix of antiques and fashion.”

The shop features a dozen or so area vendors who sell anything from soap and candles to recycled clothes to funky jewelry to antique furnishings.

Bring extra quarters for the meter. You might be here awhile.

The look: This flea-market-style shop contains thoughtfully arranged showcases that favor a range of tastes — retro, rustic, classic and contemporary.

Don’t let the “v” word fool you: The boutique includes a combination of old, new and one-of-a-kind.

Belly up to the bath bars made by Bittersweet Soap Co. in Liberty, and Mind, Body and Soap in Kansas City. Scope out vintage-inspired jewelry and hair accessories from area artists Pop Piece and Polly & Esther.

Tour the Garment District, a backroom display of recycled threads, shoes and handbags.

You’ll also find sauces and seasonings from In Good Taste of St. Joseph and candles from Weston-based 5B&Co.

The owner: When Dye’s Parkville shop, The Pink Chandelier, closed due to water damage, she operated the business out of her home.

In June, Dye began hosting a series of themed trunk shows in a temporary Zona Rosa spot, renting out the space to various vendors. Those events were so successful she decided to open the shop over the holidays. “We did very well,” she said. “Customers were begging us to not close.”

In January, she reopened Vintage Market full time.

The events: Dye continues to host showcases with new vendors throughout the year. Don’t miss “Sealed With a Kiss” from 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 11 and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 12 and 13.
