It was announced last week that Mortal Kombat vs. DC universe will come out later this fall. I've haven't really paid attention to Mortal Kombat since the second one came out but I'm excited about this version just because of the addition of DC characters.
Capcom did the same idea with combining their Street Fighter franchise with the Marvel universe called Marvel vs. Capcom and it was very successful. Cyclops vs. Ryu, Magneto vs. Zangief, and Spider-Man vs. Megaman was a pretty good mix. Plus you picked two fighters that you could tag in and out of the fight. I always picked Wolverine and either Cyclops or Magneto, someone who was good with melee attacks and someone who was good with projectiles. I hope Midway doesn't screw this up. They haven't had a good track record of great games.
As of right now the cast of characters hasn't been revealed but the game trailer (www.whenworldscollide.com} does show Sub-Zero and Batman fighting. I'll have to put my money on the Mortal Kombat crew. I don't think the DC characters will be able to beat Kano, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang or Scorpion. I can't wait to dish out some punishment to Superman or Batman or even Jimmy Olsen.
