  1. the roasterie - my favorite beans and right off the trolley trail for a pretty walk
  2. jp - big comfy chairs, never crappy music
  3. broadway cafe - good beans, plenty of space, regular people
  4. coffee girls - good coffee and veggie lunch options to match
  5. mags and coffee- i'll suffer through their lids (just bad mouthfeel) for a tasty frosted sugar cookie on the side
  6. crave in westport - plenty of little nooks to hide out
  7. panera in westport - corporate i know but a quick walk from my place and i never run into anyone i know, which is a good thing on sunday mornings
  8. starbucks drivethru on main - corporate again, i know. coffee isn't the best but the art institute kids keep me entertained. "welcome to starfucks!"
  9. hihat - good coffee for you and good smoothies for your cake-eating friends
  10. qt. i look for them on road trips

  2. city market coffeehouse -- buy some veggies, grab a latte
  3. starbucks (but only because of the gingerbread latte they sell at christmastime)
  4. the valero at 17th and grand -- totally! open 24 hours, and at least one of the fake-cappuccinno machine flavors usually works
