so by now most of us have heard the news of joyce mckinney and her 5 cloned boogers! to give you the short and sweet, a woman went to south korea and had her favorite pooch booger cloned...into 5 puppies. watch the video below for more details.

actually let me talk for just a bit about the video and this crazy woman. first off this cost her up to $150k!?!?!? secondly she had to sell her house for the puppies?!?!? i can understand if you're just insanely rich and want cloned puppies, but selling all of your assets for it? by the end of the story, we've figured out that she believes that the spirit of booger has sent her these miracle puppies, not the hundreds of years of science that has brought such great knowledge of dna and the structure of the building blocks of life that we can clone an animal. i am impressed that the dog can do your laundry, but genetic manipulation? that's a talented dog spirit! near the end we find out that she plans to sell book and movie rights and create "boogers place" a dog training center...so maybe her $150k was more of an investment than we first realized?

Ok, so i've had a couple of nights of tv'less nights to play the game and i think the buzz wasn't just fluffy PR propaganda.
The new lead, Niko has actually got some depth to him as do some of the colorful characters you befriend. From Roman your drunken cousin who's promises of the good life in Liberty City were less than he promised to my new girlfriend Michelle who enjoys bowling and strip clubs there is plenty of storyline to go around.
What was fun before is still fun now, but the city actually feels alive. It's hard to explain until you actually enter the world, but I think Rockstar has another winner on their hands and may really show off what the next generation of gaming has in store for us.
- read morethe chilly night didn't keep the crowds away from the george clinton concert at the kc crossroads venue last night. good times were had by all in attendance and if you haven't treated yourself to a show in this venue, you're missing out of one of the best kc experiences out there.
the venue itself is like a giant backyard bash and contrasts the city skyline. the beer lines are short due to 5 different spots to grab a drink, the bathroom lines are tollerable as long as you don't mind johnnys, the woodchip covered ground keeps the mud off of you (girls i wouldn't suggest heels), and you can even buy some grub if you forgot dinner (the pulled pork sandwich did the trick).
the only thing missing from this field party in the city is a horseshoe pit and a bonfire. as for george clinton, he comes every year and brings the funk to locals here in kc.
- read moreI guess you could say that social networks and social media in general has become an upgraded hobby of mine for the past year. It seems I have profiles everywhere. I tinker around, connect, play and try to learn from each one. Some I've tossed to the wayside, but a few have really changed they way I live my day. I'll start out by talking a little about one of my favorites, twitter.
Twitter markets itself as a micro-blogging service. You begin an account and publish updates or "tweets" consisting of no more than 140 characters. You send yours out and then you "follow" other's feeds which are the same small blurbs. It's really simple, collect some feeds and start sharing. It starts getting fun when you find out you can sync your feed up to almost anything from RSS, to blackberry, IM, SMS, etc. It becomes a mobile blogging machine.

are we calling it Power & Light district or Kansas City Live? friday night, i took a cab downtown with a couple of friends out of a mix of curiosity and favor for one of my buddies so that he wouldn't have to go into new territory solo.
We headed into Lucky Strike to meetup with his group and the dress code sign at the bottom of the stairwell immediately got my attention. No classic white shirt, check, no baggy pants, baggy shirts, team jerseys, headgear, check, check and check. I guess i didn't read close enough, because upon entering the bar, I was asked to take off my hoody. (just for clarification, this was more of a gap or express hoody that was kinda holding my entire outfit together.) This was a small price to pay to finally see what all the hoopla was about.
