Office space: Craig Grow, 28

Who he is: Enrollment adviser at Ottawa University in Overland Park

How long he’s done it: Six weeks

School pride: As an Ottawa grad, Grow can share a more intimate knowledge of the university with prospective students. “The majority of students who come in know what they want and just need reassurance,” he says. “The only pressure they have is the one they put on themselves. I try to alleviate that pressure.”

A different kind of school: The campus in Overland Park works with mostly nontraditional students, whose ages range from early 20s to 70s and 80s. “Our students aren’t 18-year-olds who are coming here to party,” Grow says. “They come here to learn. It’s personal enrichment on their part.”

No summer vacation: Because courses run in eight-week terms year-round, Grow’s workload stays consistent — somewhat. “It gets busier in the fall and spring because everyone has the mindset of starting school,” he says.
