This is more my speed. She gets to wear a cute outfit instead of an ugly one piece that is a necessity for swimming laps.

Swimming sucks. I'm getting ready for a mini-triathlon June 28 that requires me to swim a 200.

Sounds easy, but I've done it a few times now and thought I was going to die each time. Isn't it supposed to get easier? I workout almost two hours every day and this 5-minute swim is kicking my ass!

It's frustrating. I know I'll finish it, but I don't want to have an embarrassing time.

Also, I look like a moron when I try to swim freestyle. I never learned officially, so the whole breathing thing is hard for me to master. I expend way to much energy trying to breath and end up flailing around like an idiot.

It's worth it, however, because it's good for the body to be challenged. You have to change up your exercise in order to keep seeing progress. And this is quite a challenge for me.

I hope you'll take on a new challenge, too.

Yes...I challenge each day I go out to Oceans of Fun Adult Pool to see which lounge chair I wish to settle into:) Then off to visit friends.
I need to get back into swimming, too. Does anyone know of a good place to lap-swim close to downtown? Indoor or outdoor would be fine, but I need somewhere that offers day passes. I already pay for a membership at another gym.
