Lost: Incremental but satisfying

Hard to judge last night's "Lost" as it's in the middle (or is it first-third) of the season finale. Did enjoy a few of the reveals — something this group of writers does really, really well. I especially liked Frank being handcuffed to the copter, the mirror and crackers (and Hurley eating the crackers) in the box on the hill, the explosives and of course the look on Jack's face at the funeral home.

I felt a few of the flash-forwards were a little choppy — the press conference comes to mind, how convenient that each one was asked a particular question that moved forward the plot incrementally — and the flow of the show was more languid than last weeks

Some stray observations:

Is it just me or is Ben growing more and more likable every week?

What was up with those directions he gave Locke about what do inside of the Orchid?

Do you think it's high time Daniel take off that tie?

Favorite line: "You know those crackers are 15 years old?"

Favorite scene: Desmond and Michael find the C4.

But, we've got two weeks to wait until the season comes to an end.

i don't think it was close to the best episode of this season, but it was for sure a great beginning to the 3 part finally. a few short things: can't wait to see what the orchid is. jin better not die wondering how the hell the six even get together to get off the island since they're almost all in different places right now. any episode w/ cheech in it is a win for me.
