Review: Dropkick Murphys

The finale started long before the last song. It began about the time more than three dozen women left the sea of mayhem on the floor and took the stage to join the Dropkick Murphys in their drinking anthem “Kiss Me, I’m Shit-faced.” The mood in the completely-sold-out packed-to-the-rafters Beaumont Club cracked the feverish state a few songs before, when guest fiddler Stephanie Dougherty stepped forward and took some lead vocals on “Dirty Glass,” and it stayed that way through “Irish Rover” and a hell-bent version of “Captain Kelly’s Kitchen,” and its fusillade of too-ra-loo-ra-lahs and too-ra-loo-ra-laddys.
