Court backs Pink Floyd in 'concept' dispute

It tells EMI to stop selling the Floyd's albums piece-meal in any form, including digitally. In Britain, it's a win for bands who don't want their musical narratives -- concept albums -- chop-shopped and sold as parts. It's good, I suppose, but most likely only as a legal precedent, not as a practical means of stopping or controlling the process outside the realm of the label. read more
