Angels
Douglas just started her collection, but she already has an abundance of angel paraphernalia. “We are all connected to the divine,” she says. “I believe we do have another layer of protection. It just makes sense.”

Handwritten notes
It took the loss of her sister’s phone number to get Douglas to write a letter. Now she appreciates the “old-fashioned way” of communication. “This is the way they did it back in the day before all this technology. I think it’s nice to get something in the mail every once in awhile.”

Her trumpet
Douglas joined her school band in sixth grade and played trumpet through high school in band and orchestra. She bought hers used and has held onto it since.
