What we’re eating: Hostess 100-calorie packs

May 14, 2008 12:00:00 am

Being a fan of junk food and a fitness freak can be quite challenging. I (heart) muffins, chocolate, bread and a lot of other things that could keep me from sporting a teeny bikini this summer.

My saving grace has been those darling little 100-calorie packs with zero nutritional value but lots of yumminess.

I stock up on a variety of brands, but my faves are the mini-muffins by Hostess. The cinnamon flavor is delicious, but the blueberry muffins are over-the-top awesome.

Six packs of three tiny muffins come in a box for between $3 and $4. The portion control makes them worth the price.

I pair a pack with a small glass of milk and feel like I’m cheating, which keeps me from knocking over the ice cream truck when it drives through my neighborhood.
