Between snatching up tickets to New Kids on the Block and Broken Social Scene, I spotted a smart way to create cheap insta-art.

Find some fabric worth framing. Maybe it’s a leftover scrap from a sewing project or an old concert T-shirt you love but can’t bring yourself to wear or toss. (I used the product of a silk-screening experiment — an homage to my favorite band).

Grab an appropriately sized embroidery hoop from a craft store. Hoop to your heart’s content.
