Between freeloading on chardonnay and merlot at my college roommate’s wedding reception and brainstorming ways to creatively destroy my bridesmaid dress, I crafted some fab flip-flops.

I call these puppies my “New. Blue. Tradition.” shoes because I used Kauffman colors — a powder-blue base with royal-blue-and-white sequined straps.

Choose flip-flops with canvas straps, which are easier to sew on. Design a pattern, pick your colors and sass up those sandals.
